Rogue One— Director Krennic leers menacingly Disney/Lucasfilm

Disney and Lucasfilm announced today that they are partnering up with Twitter to bring exclusive Rogue One: A Star Wars Story footage and a live Q&A with the cast to fans.

The stream will also include behind-the-scenes commentary on a couple of scenes that have already been seen in trailers. Director Gareth Edwards, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and cast members Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Riz Ahmed, Mads Mikkelsen and Alan Tudyk will all be available for questions.

Last year, Twitter and Lucasfilm did something similar with Star Wars: The Force Awakens and director J.J. Abrams. Although no new footage was shown off, Abrams and the cast of the film did partake in a Q&A with fans.

Twitter also confirmed that, much like last year, the Q&A will take place using a couple of different hashtags that will each spawn their own unique Rogue One emoji. Users can choose from #RogueOne, #DeathStar, #StarWars, #StarWarsRogueOne or #AskStarWars to get their question into the mix.

The stream will kick off at 1 p.m. ET on Friday Dec. 2. For those who want to follow along directly, they can visit rogueone.twitter.com where all of the questions and answers will be displayed. Twitter did not say how long the session will last, but if it’s like last year, plan for about an hour.
