Titanfall 2 multiplayer will be free this week

Respawn’s multiplayer trial leads into first DLC drop

Titanfall 2 Respawn Entertainment/Electronic Arts

If you haven’t gotten your hands on Titanfall 2 yet, Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts are giving players a chance to do that this weekend for free. Players on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One can download the game’s “full multiplayer offering” — including a taste of the game’s first batch of downloadable content — for free this week.

Players on Xbox One or Windows PC who subscribe to EA Access or Origin Access, respectively, will get first crack at Titanfall 2’s free multiplayer trial on Nov. 30. Everyone else can partake starting Dec. 2. The multiplayer trial concludes Dec. 4.

Respawn will release the game’s first DLC this week. That content, called Angel City’s Most Wanted, includes a remake of the Angel City multiplayer map from the original Titanfall, the Wingman Elite Pistol, six new titan kits and a new pilot execution. A new in-game store will offer cosmetics for purchase, including skins and warpaint for titans and pilots.

Angel City’s Most Wanted will be available Nov. 30 for players who pre-ordered Titanfall 2. Everyone else gets the DLC on Dec. 3.
