Assassin’s Creed 3 will be available as a free download for Ubisoft Club members starting Dec. 7, Ubisoft announced. That makes it the final game in the company’s yearlong series of giveaways, which launched this summer in honor of its 30th birthday.
Like the previous Ubisoft free games, all players need to do to grab a copy of Assassin’s Creed 3 is register for a Uplay account. That will nab them the game for Windows PC come Dec. 7, with the offer lasting at least through December’s end.
The 2012 action title is a sequel not to Assassin’s Creed 2, but to Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. Set during the American Revolution, the game stars Desmond Miles. That was a big change from the previous Assassin’s Creed games, which featured fan-favorite Ezio Auditore de Firenze in the lead.
