Mass Effect fans know today is N7 Day, the unofficial holiday celebrating the Mass Effect canon (it comes from the logo on Commander Shepard’s uniform). As promised, here is the latest trailer for Mass Effect Andromeda, launching in spring 2017.
Here’s the setup, per the official Mass Effect site:
Take the role of the Pathfinder, leading humanity's search for a new home in this unexplored and unforgiving region of space. You'll chart your own course, navigating the Andromeda galaxy to unravel its mysteries, discover vivid alien worlds, and lead the charge to find the human race a new home among the stars. You'll be able to upgrade and customize your gameplay experience with a deep and flexible progression system, and lead your squad into action-packed combat using advanced weaponry, special abilities, and more than a few new tricks.
BioWare teased the announcement last week with this trailer that sets up the premise of the Andromeda Initiative, an exploration project taking humankind to another galaxy.
There will be an initial gameplay reveal at The Game Awards. Electronic Arts also revealed the details for the $69.99 deluxe edition and $99.99 super deluxe edition for Mass Effect Andromeda and all of the premiums and digital content they include.
Also, Game Informer reports that loyalty missions, which were a big hit in Mass Effect 2 but did not return for Mass Effect 3, will be back in Mass Effect Andromeda.
