The latest version of Pokémon Go has arrived, and dataminers at The Silph Road say code references generation two Pokémon for the first time, possibly portending their inclusion later.
The code contains mentions of Pokémon numbered 152 (Chikorita) to 251 (Celebi) in the Pokédex. Another update will be necessary to bring them into the game. There's no telling when that would happen, but the latest version at least lays the foundation for bringing them in.
Additionally, there's a new move added to the game: Transform, which is, of course, associated with Ditto. Ditto is the only non-legendary Pokémon of the original 151 who has yet to be seen in Pokémon Go since it launched in July. Transform’s addition means it may be capturable soon but, like the gen-two Pokémon, there’s no clue when that will happen.
