Wonder Woman trailer gets 70s reimagining with original actress Lynda Carter

It still holds up

Before Gal Gadot came along and donned Wonder Woman’s iconic costume, Lynda Carter was the face of the superheroine.

Now, in a new and reimagined trailer, Carter is back as the Amazoninan warrior as the trailer takes on an entirely ‘70s tone. Using scenes from the original series, which ran on ABC and CBS for three seasons between 1975 and 1979, and audio from the second Wonder Woman trailer, YouTube user Don Jack has created a pretty great parody version of the trailer.

All of the key components to the original trailer are there, with the focus switching back and forth between Wonder Woman in action, talking to her mother and trying to blend into the background of modern society.

Lynda Carter won’t be making an official appearance in Wonder Woman when it’s released next year — but don’t cancel out a surprise cameo just yet. The actress did get to take part in an episode of Supergirl on the CW this season, playing President Olivia Marsdin.

Wonder Woman, the next movie in the DC Cinematic Universe, hits theaters June 2, 2017.
