Ark: Survival Evolved coming to PS4

Dyno-mite!

Studio Wildcard is finally bringing its famed dinosaur-combat RPG to North American PlayStation 4 players this winter. Dubbed Ark: Survivor’s Pack, it’ll include the base game and the recently launched Scorched Earth DLC for $54.99. Even though its initial Steam release was met with a bit of outrage in Early Access, the expansion itself effectively doubled the game-world’s size and added a slew of new features (a dragon, for instance!).

PS4 players will also receive a Bionic Giganotosaurus skin, as well as a set of male and female Manticore armor as exclusive content. A steady stream of updates with new dinosaurs, weapons, armor, mechanics and lifestyle improvements are to be released in succession until Ark leaves Early Access and is released a final product in spring 2017.

Ark: Survival Evolved is billed as an “open-world dinosaur survival game.” Survivors wake up stranded, naked, freezing and starving on a mysterious island. In addition to taming dinosaurs, players must hunt, harvest, craft items and build shelters to stay alive. You can also team up with friends to form “tribes” to rival other groups and compete for territory.

Ark: Survivor’s Pack is releasing Dec. 6, 2016.
