Take a tour of Gears of War 4’s new multiplayer maps

The Coalition releases walkthrough trailers for December arenas

Two new multiplayer maps will be added to Gears of War 4 this month, with walkthrough videos released today.

Speyer (above) is a pretty neighborhood of old buildings, creating close-combat opportunities as well as open spaces for more long-range engagements. Glory (below) features multiple military monuments as well as a large artillery emplacement that will draw the focus of players seeking big gun suppression.

Developed by The Coalition, cover-shooter Gears of War 4 was released for Windows PC and Xbox One in October to positive reviews. Polygon called it “one of the best action games of 2016.” The new maps will be available to season pass owners from Dec. 6, with everyone else able to jump in on Dec. 13, replacing current maps Gridlock and Relic on the public offering.

Gears of War 4 will also be discounted by 30 percent in the run-up to Christmas. Xbox Wire has more info on deals and minor updates.
