Harley Quinn and the director of Suicide Squad are teaming up for a new movie about DC’s top female villains, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Gotham City Sirens will mainly focus on Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and Catwoman, although only Robbie has signed onto the project at this time. According to the magazine, Suicide Squad director David Ayer is set to direct and produce with Geneva Robertson-Dwore, the writer behind the upcoming Tomb Raider remake and the upcoming Sherlock Holmes installment, set to pen the script.

DC’s Geoff Johns, who was appointed the head of DC Films earlier this year, is set to produce the movie. Johns also worked on Suicide Squad and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and will lend his creative talents to the rest of the upcoming DC films that are set to be released over the next few years.

The Gotham City Sirens comic series was first released in 2009 and was cancelled in 2011 to make room for The New 52. When The New 52 launched, all of the characters were divided up and either given their own series or brought into others, like Suicide Squad and Birds of Prey.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gotham City Sirens does not have a release date but is reportedly on the fast track.
