Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40,000 is a deadly serious, dark gothic universe. To give you an example just how dark, understand that one of the very best adaptations, The Horus Heresy series by Dan Abnett, features both demonic sacrifice and genocide via chemical weapons use on a planetary scale. So keep that in mind as you read the following sentence.
There is a My Little Pony-themed Space Marine army up for sale on eBay, and it’s amazing.

User kailcar is offering the refurbished Warhammer 40,000 army for $1,800 or the best offer. It features pastel-painted assault teams, chainswords at the ready, as well as a sizeable light attack group on motorcycles. They’re supported by a full squad of heavily armored Terminators and a decent collection of armor pieces, including some Rhinos and what looks like a Dreadnaught.

The larger ponies in the back there? Well, those are called Apocalypse Ponies. I can only assume they’re meant to represent smaller models of the mech-like Titans from the 40K universe. Note that the Fluttershy Apocalypse Pony seems to have her own orbital drop pod.

The description is both endearing and kind of sad at the same time.
“This is a huge army list that has been refurbished from old Warhammer and Pony items,” kailcar writes. “It was initially created for a friend who had two little girls who loved Warhammer and Ponies but the girls are grown now so the army must go.”

The point cost, without upgrades, is around 6,200 for the entire army. That’s not counting, of course, the elite units — your War, Famine, Disease and Death Ponies.
Merry Christmas to whoever wins the bid. We look forward to your battle reports. In fact, we demand them.
