For Honor, the multiplayer melee game from Ubisoft, will open a closed beta period in January 2017.
Ubisoft also announced that more information on the game, which mashes up vikings with samurai and medieval knights, will be coming. Specifically, there’s a plan to shed light on how it is they all find themselves fighting each other on the same battlefield.
We’ve embedded a new teaser trailer above featuring the game’s newly revealed antagonist, Apollyon.
“Players will learn why these brave heroes have gone to war with one another in the new campaign trailer that dives deeper into the world of For Honor,” Ubisoft stated in a press release issued today. “Apollyon ... seeks to incite war amongst the various factions. The new trailer details the motivations of the three factions including the Knights of the Iron Legion, the Warborn Viking clans and the Samurai of the Dawn Empire.”
For Honor is scheduled to launch on February 14, 2017 simultaneously for PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
