Behind-the-scenes Justice League moments show off new Aquaman look

The king of Atlantis emerges

Justice League star Jason Momoa has shared a new video featuring footage of his superhero character, Aquaman.

Momoa teamed up with clothing outlet Carhartt to talk about fatherhood and and how he balances his hectic professional schedule while spending time with his daughter. It’s through the 10-minute video, which can be seen above, that Momoa shares a couple of behind-the-scenes shots. There are shots of Aquaman rising out of the sea, working with director Zack Snyder and hanging out on dry land.

When Aquaman was first introduced in this year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the character was seen swimming through the sea where Atlantis lives. It wasn’t until the first trailer dropped at San Diego Comic Con that Aquaman was seen out of water at all.

Snyder also shared a photo of Momoa in full costume on Vero, a mobile-based social media platform that’s similar to Instagram and Twitter. The director captioned the photo, which can be seen below, “Working in the dark.”

Momoa will be joined by Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson and Willem Dafoe. Heard will play Queen Mera, Aquaman’s wife, while Wilson will take on the role of Aquaman’s evil half-brother, Orm. Dafoe confirmed earlier this year that he would be playing Nuidis Vulko, a scientific advisor to Aquaman and Atlantis.

Aquaman will team up once again with his superhero compatriots in Justice League next November before Momoa tackles the character in his own-stand alone movie on Oct. 5, 2018.
