New Rogue One clip puts Jyn Erso, Captain Cassian Andor and K-2SO in a tough spot

It’s all about trust

One of the themes in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story that will be present throughout is distrust among rebellion members, which can be seen in a new clip released today.

In the clip, which premiered during a Rogue One panel hosted by Twitter, that distrust between Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) and Captain Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) can be seen. While on a ship with new droid K-2SO (Alan Tudyk), Andor discovers that Erso has a gun and demands to know where she got it. The two get into a confrontation and ends on a rather tense note, with Erso asking Andor to trust her.

“Trust goes both ways,” Erso says.

The clip also shows off a little more of how K-2SO will interact with the Rebellion, in comparison to droids from previous Star Wars films like C-3PO and R2-D2. During the panel, Tudyk said that K-2SO is candid, passive-aggressive, and can be childish at times, but is quite different from C-3PO. In fact, when asked if the two droids would be friends, Tudyk said probably not.

“He’s 7-feet tall,” Tudyk said. “He’d probably just push C-3PO over.”

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theaters Dec. 16.
