Deadpool has already been greenlit for a sequel

Fox is moving ahead on another Deadpool movie from the same creative team that brought us the first film, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick have already begun work on a script, with director Tim Miller expected to return.

Though Deadpool isn't due to hit theaters for another two days, anticipation for the movie is high after reviews hit last weekend. The film is currently sitting on a rating of 82% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes and is predicted to go big at the box office this weekend, likely triumphing over this Friday's other big release, Zoolander 2.

This news may come as a surprise to the Merc With a Mouth himself, after all the jokes he made in the first one about never getting a sequel.
