Yesterday marked the relaunch of Overwatch's closed beta, which includes some drastic changes — namely, the inclusion of a full-fledged player progression system, complete with hundreds of unlockables. The addition of loot boxes, which only include cosmetic items, is meant to give Overwatch something to build toward, while still maintaining the even playing field that beta players have grown to love.
We've already unlocked a few of these loot boxes in our early time with the beta's second round — above, watch us bust open our first eight loot boxes, earning everything from sprays and emotes to entire new character skins.
