Indie studio Foam Sword will launch its debut project Knights and Bikes on PlayStation 4, the company revealed on the PlayStation Blog. The console release will coincide with the '80s-influenced adventure game's launch on Linux, Mac and Windows PC, provided it meets its funding goal on Kickstarter.
The duo behind Foam Sword has developed primarily for PlayStation consoles in the past; their credits include Tearaway and LittleBigPlanet. Like those games, Knights and Bikes features a uniquely charming aesthetic, although it's a co-op action adventure title inspired by Secret of Mana and EarthBound, not a Media Molecule-esque platformer.
Crowdfunding launched last week and is open until March 3. Foam Sword has set its target at just over $142,000, offering copies of the game on PS4 and other platforms to backers. Also up for grabs are artbooks, prints and stuffed versions of the two preteen main characters.
Foam Sword is currently circling spring 2017 as a launch window for Knights and Bikes. Check out our gallery below to see more of the picturesque indie.
