Frozen Synapse developer Mode 7 Games is working on a full sequel to the game, the studio announced yesterday.

While the 2011 hit title was a turn-based tactics game that focused on a campaign of scenarios as well as asynchronous multiplayer, all we know about Frozen Synapse 2 is that it will be an "open-world tactics" game. Mode 7 released the screenshot shown above, as well as a new audio track.

A press release stated that the game would be out this year for Windows PC, Mac and Linux computers.
