Seth Rogen and writing partner Evan Goldberg are turning to Hulu for their next project, Future Man, and bringing The Hunger Games star Josh Hutcherson along with them. The comedy, for which a pilot is currently in development, will feature Hutcherson as a "janitor by day, world-ranked gamer by night," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
As Josh Futturman, Hutcherson will take on the role of a self-conscious and maladroit guy whose exceptional skills in the dystopian video game Cybergeddon get him recruited to save the real world. Also involved: time travel and a lot of social awkwardness.
If Future Man gets picked up to series, it will air exclusively on Hulu's streaming service. This is Rogen and Goldberg's second TV project in the works right now; they're also helming AMC's upcoming Preacher series. Future Man is Hutcherson's small screen debut and first major work since the November release of franchise conclusion The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2.
