Marvel will publish a five-issue comic adaptation of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the company announced today during the annual ComicsPRO meeting.
The miniseries will begin in June and feature art by Luke Ross (Marvel's Hercules) and writing by Chuck Wendig, author of Episode VII prequel novel Star Wars: Aftermath. Comic Book Resources shared a first look at the illustrated versions of stars Finn, Rey and Poe Dameron.
Poe Dameron is the star of his own The Force Awakens comic book series; Marvel will release the first issue of the creatively titled Star Wars: Poe Dameron in April.
The Force Awakens will also receive a video game spinoff later this year. Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens comes to Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Wii U, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on June 28.
