Sega offers up Gunstar Heroes and more on Steam for free

But not for long!

Sega has launched its latest — and last — set of free Steam games today. For a limited time, Gunstar Heroes, Renegade Ops and Viking: Battle for Asgard are available to download at no cost to players.

Visiting the page for Sega's Make War Not Love event includes a link to redeem the free game bundle. Just like earlier this week, when the company gave away Streets of Rage 2, Binary Domain and Condemned on the website, you're asked to submit your email address so that the company can send Steam keys to your inbox.

Expect your free copies of Gunstar Heroes, Renegade Ops and Viking to arrive within 24 hours, according to Sega. Those who already signed up to receive the previous prize pack will not have to resubscribe in order to get the new keys sent to their inbox too.

This is the final of three prize bundles Sega offered to Steam users as free downloads this week. The first games included Jet Set Radio, Golden Axe and Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit; those interested in that set were able to grab them directly from Steam.

All of these giveaways were meant to promote the Make War Not Love event, which has now concluded. The third annual campaign had players of Company of Heroes 2, Total War Attila or Dawn of War 2 picking a side to unlock exclusive content for their chosen game.

Dawn of War 2 received the most playtime and its players were rewarded with free downloadable content. That prize can also be redeemed on the event page and will be sent out at a later date, Sega said.
