How Atlas Reactor takes MOBA-like competition and makes it turn-based

It took Phil and me three tries to make this preview of Atlas Reactor, the upcoming turn-based competitive game from Trion Worlds, which went into closed alpha testing last week. There's two reasons for that: First, the game is pretty complicated, and difficult to explain while playing it. It's a team-based tactics title in which you and three teammates coordinate moves to take out the opposing squad, utilizing different Freelancers with unique stats and abilities. It's a tricky game to play, let alone describe, which brings us to the second reason: Phil and I are not very good at Atlas Reactor.

You can watch the rotten fruits of our third labor in the preview video above. For more on Atlas Reactor, check out our longform feature on the game's development!
