Hitman gets a second beta on March 4, for PlayStation Plus members only

Hitman's first episode launches March 11

Hitman is following up its recent beta with a second one only for PlayStation Plus subscribers, beginning March 4, Square Enix announced this morning.

This beta involves the same mission included in the first beta, which began Feb 12 on PlayStation 4 and Feb. 19 on PC. Access to that beta depended on pre-ordering the game. This requires no purchase other than the active PS Plus subscription.

The beta mission, "The Prologue," is a flashback mission taking Agent 47 back to the day when he first joined the International Contract Agency and met his handler, Diana Burnwood. The Prologue also is a part of the first Hitman episode, which launches on March 11 for PS4, Windows PC and Xbox One.

Square Enix also released an opening cinematic for Hitman, which will launch episodically over the course of the year. In it one revisits Agent 47's more memorable jobs over the 16-year-old series.
