Rocket League will receive a physical release, according to developer Psyonix's Jeremy Dunham. The company vice president revealed that a retail version of the downloadable sports game, which is currently available on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One, is in the works during the weekly Colin and Greg Live show on Twitch.
The announcement comes about nine minutes into the interview. The retail release was just recently finalized, according to Dunham, with more details coming soon.
Dunham declined to share much else about the planned physical version of Rocket League; there's neither a price nor a release date announced yet. He did suggest that it would be offered on each of Rocket League's platforms, however. The Facebook page for Rocket League later confirmed the retail release, and hinted that it would be "special."
