Steam is offering a chance to check out Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's multiplayer for free this weekend. From now until 1 p.m. PT on Feb. 28, players can try the platform's exclusive multiplayer starter pack at no cost.
Activision launched the abridged Black Ops 3 experience earlier this month, making it available for a limited time. The starter pack costs $14.99 and will be available to purchase through Feb. 29.
Buying the starter pack, which gives access to Black Ops 3's ranked matches, arenas and freerun mode, gives players a discount on the full version of Black Ops 3. Pack owners interested in upgrading can apply the cost of the starter pack to that of the complete game.
The complete version of Black Ops 3 is also on sale to all buyers this weekend. The standard edition is 33 percent off, while the digital deluxe set is marked down 20 percent. That sale ends at 10 a.m. PT on Feb. 28. As a bonus, Steam is also offering double XP for the game over the sales period.
