Watch Batman outsmart Superman in new Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice clip

The utility belt is going to come in handy, Brucey

Last night, Jimmy Kimmel premiered a new 45-second clip from Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill's upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The clip focused on one of the fight scenes between the two superheroes, with Superman using his exceptional abilities to corner Batman on a rooftop. Batman, on the other hand, had to use his own resources to defend himself from Metropolis' favorite alien, using a smoke bomb to deter the superhero.

The clip doesn't provide any new exceptional information, but does give a better look at just how director Zack Snyder is setting up the choreography for the fights. Similar to his earlier film, 300, it looks like parts of the fight will be slowed down tremendously, before being rapidly sped up.

The clip also gives audiences a taste of what the banter between the two will sound like during the actual fight scenes, instead of when they're simply interacting with each other as Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne.

Kimmel, who's been friends with Affleck for years, took the opportunity to make a 10-minute spoof of the scene in the film where Wayne and Kent meet for the first time at Lex Luthor's mansion.

Although Affleck looks close to breaking character each time he's on screen, it's not a terrible spoof, and Jesse Eisenberg — who plays Luthor in the film — also manages to make an appearance.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters March 25.
