Creed may have been shut out of the Oscars — including a surprising snub for Best Supporting Actor nominee Sylvester Stallone — but late night host Jimmy Kimmel paid homage to it Sunday night.
During the comedian's annual post-Oscar special, Kimmel aired a four-and-a-half-minute trailer for his spoof sequel to the boxing film. Starring Tracy Morgan as a Mr. T-type character training to be the best boxer in the world, Clubber also features actors like J.K. Simmons and Mike Tyson.
Although far more incredulous and violent than anything in Creed, as far as spoofs go, Clubber is one of the better ones. Of course, Kimmel also makes an appearance in the video, and while it doesn't deter from the comedy, it does feel a little forced at times.
Kimmel also aired a spoof "deleted scene" from Zack Snyder's upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice that starred himself alongside Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Jesse Eisenberg.
