Watch Mowgli learn about the bare necessities in new Jungle Book trailer

Iron Man 3 director blends real life and CGI

The second trailer for Jon Favreau's upcoming Jungle Book film introduces most of the animals a young Mowgli will interact with while growing up in the jungle.

Based on a collection of stories by Rudyard Kipling, the new movie is the first version of The Jungle Book to use CGI and real actors instead of relying on props or animation.

In the new trailer, Mowgli learns that in order to survive living in the jungle he has to make friends with the different creatures that inhabit it. Including a terrifying looking snake named Kaa (voiced by Scarlett Johannson), a gorilla named King Louie (Christopher Walken) and a bear named Baloo (Bill Murray).

Idris Elba, Lupita Nyong'o, Ben Kingsley and Giancarlo Esposito are also set to star in the movie.

The Jungle Book hits theaters April 15.
