Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is getting a "stress test" for its multiplayer in North America this weekend, in advance of the game's launch April 26. A PlayStation Plus subscription is not required to participate.
The client is available to download from the PlayStation Store now but won't be active until noon ET on Friday. The stress test will last until 3 a.m. ET on Monday.
Naughty Dog is looking to test its networking, matchmaking and other infrastructure for Uncharted 4's multiplayer features. It complements a free open beta getting underway at the same time in the United Kingdom.
Uncharted 4 had a multiplayer beta in North America back in early December, but only for those who owned Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. According to this FAQ, the stress test is the same experience — team deathmatch on two maps with mystical and sidekick loadout options.
