The third film in Marvels' Captain America franchise is careening toward the box office, and promising to the kind of character lineup that we usually don't see outside of an Avengers movie.
Captain America and Iron Man can't settle their differences over a proposed superhuman registration act — really, Tony, you should have known better than to threaten Bucky — and it looks like it's going to take half of the world's superheroes punching the other half to sort it all out. That sort of thing is really going around.
This trailer offers a lot of Black Panther action, and it's also our first glimpse of Tom Holland's Spider-Man, who'll be making his debut appearance in Civil War thanks to a joint agreement between Marvel Entertainment and Sony Pictures to collaborate on a new Spider-Man movie franchise at Sony that is linked to Marvel's cinematic universe.
Captain America: Civil War has released one other trailer and a Super Bowl spot. The movie will premiere on May 6, 2016.
Update: Marvel has also opened ticket sales for Captain America: Civil War.
