HBO's summer slate of television shows includes the debut of Vice Principals, and the network put out a teaser trailer today to offer a look at the wild atmosphere of the high school at the center of the dark comedy.
Vice Principals stars Danny McBride (Eastbound & Down) and Walton Goggins (Justified) as the titular school administrators. The two are locked in a desperate struggle, fighting to become the principal. They seem to be polar opposites in appearance: McBride's character is pudgy, and prefers shirts and ties; Goggins' character is slender and seems more refined, generally opting for a blazer on top of a V-neck sweater and a bowtie.
HBO originally announced Vice Principals in May 2014. The series was created by McBride and Jody Hill; they also created Eastbound & Down, which ran on HBO for four seasons from 2009 to 2013 and which also starred McBride. Vice Principals is set to premiere this July, and HBO has ordered 18 half-hour episodes over two seasons. For more on the show, you can check out the poster below.
