The Banner Saga 2 comes to Steam next month

The Banner Saga 2 will launch on Mac and Windows PC April 19, developer Stoic Studios confirmed. The sequel to its viking role-playing game is now up for pre-order on Steam, where players can purchase it for 10 percent off until its release date.

The first game in the planned trilogy arrived in January 2014, following the late 2013 release of The Banner Saga: Factions, a free-to-play multiplayer campaign. The project was funded through Kickstarter, where it raised over $750,000 from backers in 2012. The company later announced The Banner Saga 2 in December 2014 at The Game Awards.

In January, Stoic Studios ported the first Banner Saga game to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A PlayStation Vita version remains in development.
