Here's your first look at The Fifth Element director's new movie

The first image for Luc Besson's (Lucy, Fifth Element) new sci-fi movie, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, has arrived.

The film, which stars model-turned-actress Cara Delevingne (Suicide Squad) and Dane DeHaan (The Amazing Spider-Man 2), is based on the 1967 French comic, Valérian and Laureline. The comic follows two time travelers dedicated to protecting the interests of the human race in the 28th century.

Using diplomatic missions, space rescues and indulging in interplanetary exploration, it's their goal to make the universe a better place for humans. The only rule is they can't alter events that have already happened by going back in time to undo an action.

Delevingne and DeHaan will also be joined by Rihanna, Clive Owen and Ethan Hawke. Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets is set to be released July 21, 2017.
