No Man's Sky getting special $150 box set from iam8bit

It sure looks pretty

The Windows PC version of No Man's Sky will receive a limited edition box set from iam8bit, the manufacturer announced. The Explorer's Edition set will retail for $149.99 and is now available for pre-order; it will ship sometime in late June.

Included in the set — which will have a special run of only 10,000 copies — is a PC key for the game; buyers have the option to receive a key from Steam or GOG. The set also comes with a hand-painted replica of one of the game's ships as well as custom decals, a diorama backdrop to display the ship in front of, an enamel pin and a "mystery item," to be revealed when the collection launches.

All of these items are housed in a special collector's box. The set is the most expensive item iam8bit is offering to nascent No Man's Sky fans in anticipation of its June 21 launch, but the company also has other merchandise based on the game for sale.

Also part of the No Man's Sky collection is a $35 vinyl soundtrack, which includes original music from the game across 2 LP discs. There's also a $25 T-shirt, $25 poster, $20 art card set and three separate prints (costing between $50-$65 each) on sale, all featuring artwork from No Man's Sky.

These items comprise the first wave in iam8bit's collaboration with developer Hello Games. The company promises further items to come in the future, according to a press release.
