Steven Universe has been renewed through its fifth season, Cartoon Network announced. The cable channel told Entertainment Weekly that it will bring back the popular animated series, as well as Uncle Grandpa, for at least another two seasons.
Steven Universe's third season kicked off in January, according to Cartoon Network's episode guide. While the show hasn't aired new episodes since its most recent "Steven Bomb," Entertainment Weekly reports that the channel will premiere more third season installments in June. The "Summer of Steven" will continue on through August.
The fantasy comedy has been heralded since its 2013 debut for what fans cite as its diverse, inclusive characters and storylines. Last fall, however, Cartoon Network UK reportedly altered an episode containing a scene that suggested queer romance.
