Square Enix will release Final Fantasy 15 on Sept. 30, 2016, according to a report from GameSpot.
GameSpot's report, however, cites Square Enix's own Final Fantasy 15 Uncovered event, which is scheduled to happen later tonight in Los Angeles. Square Enix itself has not officially announced the game's launch date, but we've contacted the company for confirmation.
A new Final Fantasy 15 demo, teased earlier in a Chinese advertisement, will reportedly be released later today. The demo features a younger version of the game's protagonist, Noctis, and will show off the game's final visuals and combat mechanics. Players who complete the demo will get an exclusive Carbuncle summon when Final Fantasy 15 launches later this year.
Final Fantasy 15 was originally announced in 2006 as Final Fantasy Versus 13.
Final Fantasy 15 is bound for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Update: Square Enix confirmed the launch date of Final Fantasy 15 during an event tonight. The game will hit Sept. 30, as previously reported.
