Johnny Depp made an appearance on last night's episode of The Walking Dead, but the actor probably wasn't aware of it.
Greg Nicotero, famed visual effects designer and sometimes director on the series, told Entertainment Weekly that when they were looking to sculpt a new head for the episode, they used Depp's as a mold to work on.
In the photo below, you can see the Depp-inspired severed head just to the right. Nicotero didn't say whether or not they told the actor — who got his start working in horror — that he made it into the show.

Depp can be seen later this year in the sequel to Tim Burton's 2010 adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, Alice Through the Looking Glass.
The Walking Dead airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET on AMC, but don't expect to see Depp making another appearance.
