After the humongous success of Now You See Me, Lionsgate is developing two tie-in mobile games for the upcoming sequel, Now You See Me 2.
One of the games, developed by Side-Kick VR, will provide players with a mobile virtual reality experience. In the hidden-object game, users will have to unravel clues and investigate different illusions that the magicians worked on in the first film.
The second game, which is being developed by Kiwi, is described as a "highly-interactive, narrative-driven game" by Lionsgate and will allow players to explore the world of illusionists and "dark magic."
This isn't the first time Lionsgate has teamed up with development studios to work on tie-in games for their franchises. The studio teamed up with Starbreeze Studios and Grab Games to create a first-person shooter VR title based on the Keanu Reeves-starring action movie, John Wick.
According to the press release, both Now You See Me tie-ins will be made available for mobile users around the time of the movie's release.
Now You See Me 2, which stars Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Daniel Radcliffe, Morgan Freeman, Lizzy Caplan and more, hits theaters June 10.
