J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens may not have cleaned up at this year's Oscars, but it's definitely feeling the love from the MTV Movie Awards.
The Force Awakens led the pack when the nominees were announced Tuesday morning over the network's Snapchat channel, picking up 11 in total.
The film scored nominations for Best Film, Best Female Performance (Daisy Ridley as Rey), Best Breakthrough Performance (Ridley and John Boyega), Best Action Performance (Boyega), Best Villain (Adam Driver as Kylo Ren), Best Virtual Performance (Andy Serkis as Supreme Leader Snoke and Lupita Nyong'o as Maz Kanata), Best Ensemble Cast and Best Fight.
Ridley also scored a nomination for Best Hero in a movie, beating out competition from Boyega, Harrison Ford and even Oscar Isaac, who played fighter pilot Poe Dameron.
Deadpool, another record-breaking genre film, also earned quite a few nominations. Ryan Reynolds and Morena Baccarin were both nominated for their work in the film as Deadpool and Deadpool's love interest, Vanessa. Each scored a Best Actor nomination, and the two even managed to earn a nomination for Best On Screen Kiss.
Mad Max: Fury Road, Pitch Perfect 2, Trainwreck, Straight Outta Compton and Jurassic World also picked up more than a couple of nominations.
The MTV Movie Awards, which are being hosted by Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart, will air Sunday, April 10 at 8 p.m. ET. The full list of nominees can be seen here.
