Bethesda Softworks is launching a closed beta for its upcoming Doom, giving players a chance to test out the game's multiplayer campaign. From March 31 at 10 p.m. ET to April 3, those who purchased Wolfenstein: The New Order will be able to participate in Doom's closed beta test.
The trailer above offers a look at what those eligible for the campaign can expect during the beta period. Two maps, Heatwave and Infernal, will be available, as will two different modes: Team Deathmatch and Warpath.
Eligible players will be able to try out Doom's multiplayer on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. Those eager to play but who aren't qualified to participate in the latest beta test can get involved by voting on the game's box art. Bethesda will offer one of two options for reversible cover art for Doom, which are being offered following fan outcry regarding its current artwork.
Pre-orders for the full game, which launches on May 13, are open now. Xbox fans will receive copies of the first two Doom games for a "limited time" with their purchases.
