Frozenbyte will release Shadwen, its assassin-starring stealth game, on PlayStation 4 and Windows PC this May. A new trailer above confirms the release window — without a specific date given — and briefly uncovers the shadow-filled world of Shadwen.
The game stars the titular time-stopping assassin and her young charge, whom she must escort through the darkness by trapping guards and staying out of sight. It's the Finnish studio's first game since last year's Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power.
We spent time with Shadwen at Game Developers Conference 2016, where we remarked upon its combination of familiar stealth game mechanics and unique blending of well-known games in that and other genres, like the Metal Gear Solid and Assassin's Creed series.
