Atlus is bringing Shin Megami Tensei 4: Final to North America this summer, the company announced in a press release. Renamed Shin Megami Tensei 4: Apocalypse for its localized debut, the game will be available in both digital and physical versions on Nintendo 3DS.
Set during the events of Shin Megami Tensei 4, the 2013 3DS game that we named one of the handheld's best, Atlus said that playing the earlier game isn't required to understand Apocalypse. In a post-apocalyptic Tokyo, the game's hero is killed by a demon, only to be resurrected by a god who asks for his loyalty in exchange.
Players will rely on fighting and fusing a number of demons to survive, as is typical for the series. Watch the announcement trailer above to see what the Apocalypse has in store for fans.
