Ubisoft's E3 2016 press conference returns to Monday slot

A little earlier than usual, though

Ubisoft will hold its annual E3 press event on Monday, June 13. In a tweet, the company revealed both date and time for the conference: This year's presser will begin at 1 p.m. PT, following a 12:30 p.m. pre-show.

That's a bit earlier than last year's event. Ubisoft's 2015 show started at 2:45 p.m. and was hosted by comic Aisha Tyler — who Ubisoft teases will return, if you closely at the image embedded in its tweet below.

In 2015, Ubisoft's stage show was preceded by Electronic Arts' conference; now that EA is doing its own thing before the official start of the expo, there was a new opening in the schedule.

Both EA and Bethesda will hold their conferences one day earlier, on Sunday, June 12. All three events will be livestreamed.

Ubisoft hasn't laid out what games to expect during its event, but we know what not to look forward to: a new Assassin's Creed game in 2016. The company does have a hand in the feature film based on the franchise, premiering Dec. 21; it's also got games like Watch Dogs 2 and South Park: The Fractured But Whole due out before April 2017.
