Overwatch closed beta ends next week as Blizzard makes final preparations for launch

Progress will not carry over to the May open beta or the game's launch

Overwatch's closed beta ends Monday, April 25, clearing the way for a large, free public beta in May, followed by the game's launch later that month.

The beta ends at 10 a.m. PT in all regions. No more players will be invited to the closed beta before it ends, Blizzard said, and the closed beta forums will be shut down on Friday, April 29.

Player progress will not carry over from the closed beta to either the open beta or the game at launch.

The open beta will begin Thursday, May 5 on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One although Blizzard is giving two days of early access to any who preorder the game by April 29.
