Tickets to the fifth official Minecraft convention will go on sale on Friday, May 6 and Minecon 2016 will be held Sept. 24-25 at the Anaheim Convention Center, Mojang has announced.
Tickets are $160 each (though kids 3 and under are admitted free) and 6,000 will go on sale at this official site only at 6 p.m. PT May 6. Another 6,000 will be sold at noon PT on May 7. After that, they're all sold out.
Minecon will require a name for each ticket holder at the time they are purchased and the tickets are not transferrable; Mojang is doing this to thwart reselling. Refunds may be requested up to 15 days before the event.
Minecon 2016 will feature a slate of discussion panels, an exhibition floor, interactive exhibits and keynote events for attendees, such as its popular costume contest. Panels have yet to be announced, and suggestions for panel topics will be taken soon, Mojang said. More information is available at the announcement page.
