Play Rocket League for free on Steam all weekend

14 million players can't be wrong

Rocket League is free to play on Steam from now until this Sunday, April 24. Steam users have until 1 p.m. PT to check out the car-infused soccer game on Windows PC.

For new players who want to stay in the game after the free weekend is over, Rocket League is discounted 40 percent until 10 a.m. PT on April 25. That brings the cost down to $11.99. A bundle including the three previously released expansion packs for the game is also on sale; it's $35.99 through Monday.

The sale ends just before the release of Rocket League's new basketball mode. Hoops Mode will be available to players on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One as a free update on April 26.

Earlier this week, developer Psyonix celebrated Rocket League passing 14 million players. Below, find out why we loved Rocket League last year before playing it for yourself on Steam.
