It's up to Charles Xavier's extraordinarily gifted youngsters — which includes the newly revealed Wolverine — and Mystique to save both the mutant and human population of earth from the menacing Apocalypse in the final trailer for Fox's upcoming movie, X-Men: Apocalypse.
The final installment in Bryan Singer's trilogy, Apocalypse follows the X-Men as they take on the most powerful ancient mutant the world has ever seen. Apocalypse (played by Oscar Isaac) and his Four Horsemen (a group of mutants that act as his inner circle) have plans to rid the planet of any non-mutant being. When Xavier is captured by Apocalypse, it's Mystique and Beast who are in charge of leading the group of young X-Men into the biggest battle of their lives.
The trailer teases a bunch of new footage, with most of it focused on the level of devastation that Apocalypse can release around the world. There are a few scenes, however, that showcase the various mutants, including Nightcrawler, Cyclops, Jean Grey and everyone's favorite from Days of Future Past, Quicksilver. The trailer also teases an appearance from Wolverine, which has been kept quiet until just now.
X-Men: Apocalypse rolls into theaters May 27.
