While Activision and Call of Duty developer Infinity Ward haven't officially confirmed the existence of a current-generation remaster of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare — which appeared to have leaked yesterday — the series' official Twitter account seemingly did last night.

While that nugget of info isn't direct confirmation, it's the clearest indication yet that the first Modern Warfare game is coming back.
Earlier this week, some promotional material for the next Call of Duty game — apparently titled Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare — revealed that the game would also include Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. A modern-day remaster of Call of Duty 4 has been rumored for months and long requested by fans of the franchise.
Activision has not yet responded to requests for comment on this year's Call of Duty game.
The original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was released in 2007.
