If all the hype about the NFL Draft this weekend (which is still going on, by the way!) has you thinking about football, Madden NFL 16 is free for everyone on Xbox Live this weekend.
The game is available for download and play all of today, tomorrow and Monday (it deactivates at 3 a.m. ET on Tuesday). Madden NFL 16 has also been in the EA Access library of games since February, meaning subscribers to that service already have it for as long as they want.
Those who don't have Madden NFL 16 in Access have the option of buying it for $19.80. For purposes of comparison, some big retailers are still selling used versions for $10 to $20 more than that.
Madden NFL 17 hasn't announced its launch date yet but the series typically arrives at the end of August, about two weeks before football's regular season kicks off. For more on this year's game, see our review, which scored Madden a 9.0. Or check out this gallery of all the first- round picks from Thursday not wearing gas masks in the game.
