Dark Souls board game coming to Kickstarter this month

You died, roll again

Dark Souls is getting a board game, courtesy of Steamforged Games, which is bringing the project to Kickstarter this month. The team successfully launched its other game — Guild Ball, "a tabletop medieval football wargame" — on Kickstarter in 2014, raising more than three times the £30,000 goal. Steamforged announced the Dark Souls project on their website last month:

Steamforged Games is proud to announce we will be working with Bandai Namco Entertainment, developing an exciting board game for the Dark Souls universe.

As Dark Souls fans, we could not be more excited to be given the honour of developing a board game that embraces everything that makes Dark Souls the deep, compelling game experience that it is.

The Dark Souls board game will be launched on Kickstarter during April 2016.

Last month also saw the announcement of a Bloodborne tabletop card game, from designer Eric Lang and CoolMiniOrNot Games. While these analog games aren't made by FromSoftware, they join the developer's breakneck annual release schedule which includes Dark Souls 3, being released in North America next week.
