May the 4th (also known as Cinco de Mayo Eve) is unofficially "Star Wars Day" and Electronic Arts will celebrate it with some free Star Wars Battlefront for PC players, plus a bunch of goodies in it and its other Star Wars games.
The free trial gives players four hours of time in Battlefront, starting May 4 at 11 a.m. PT. There does not appear to be any deadline for a player to use up those four hours, either. Correction: An earlier version of this article misstated the end of the download window for the Battlefront trial. None has been given.
Obviously, this does not include any of the game's premium content, but as Battlefront has gotten substantial updates every month since its November launch, there's a lot inside to mess around with.
Those who already have the game will be gifted 4,444 in-game credits to use on gear, skins and the like. Also, a new "Hutt Contract" bounty offers players the "Bacta Bomb" which explodes healthy goo all over your teammates.
Star Wars: The Old Republic also is offering a free trial of its Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion, meaning players can start off with a level 60 character. This trial expires May 30. SWTOR is also offering log-in rewards and double XP over the coming week. See here for more details.
And Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, the mobile turn-based card game, will see drop rates double and a discount on crystal packs.
